Field Measurments

Before beginning the Field Measuring phase, we consult with local officials and regulatory agencies to gather all necessary zoning requirements, easements, encroachments, and assess any conservation or environmental impacts. We also review relevant laws and bylaws related to your property.

During the Field Measure and As Found phase, our team will measure the existing structure to produce detailed as-found drawings in AutoCAD format. These will include the foundation/basement, main floor, second floor, roof plan, and exterior elevations as needed for your project.

These drawings serve as the foundation for the design phase, helping us assess the existing structure, layout, roof lines, and window locations. They are also used for essential area calculations required by the local authorities, as well as heat loss and septic system calculations. We also integrate your survey or site plan data into AutoCAD, including zoning and setback information, which is essential for the permit submission.
